Yves Innovation Challenge 2025
Scope of the Platform
The competition requires participants to create a management platform with the following features:
Core Purpose: Handle client projects efficiently and enable Client Communication.
Core Features:
- Project creation.
- Status tracking.
- File sharing.
- Communication between clients and NGANDIWEB team.
Platform Description
The platform fosters seamless collaboration through the following functionalities:
Clients can:
- Initiate new projects.
- Monitor progress with detailed updates.
- Engage directly with our project managers via real-time messaging.
- Request consultations with project managers to refine project requirements.
- Project Managers can:
Accept consultation requests and communicate with clients. - Assign tasks to team members and provide status updates.
- Upload deliverables securely for client review.
Competition Timeline
- Application Period: 1 January – 15 February
Register to participate individually or as a group. - Development Period: 15 February – 15 March
Participants will be mentored while building their projects.
Mandatory Requirement: Attend at least one mentoring session to remain eligible.
Evaluation Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated based on the following:
- Usability: Simple, user-friendly interface for both clients and managers.
- Performance: Ability to handle multiple projects and users without delays.
- Scalability: Potential to support more users and projects in the future.
- Security:
- User authentication and session management.
- Secure file upload and download.
- Encryption for sensitive communications.
- Reliability: Data consistency and backup mechanisms.
- Platform Accessibility: Compatible with both desktop and mobile devices.
Validity Criteria
A submission will be considered valid if:
- The platform is implementable and an instance is hosted on the Cloud.
- It includes comprehensive documentation for installation and usage.
Functional Requirements
Client-Side Features
- Account Management:
- User registration and login.
- Profile settings.
- Project Management:
- Create new projects (with name, description, and details).
- View projects with filters (e.g., Pending, In Progress, Completed).
Access project details (status, updates, messages, files).
- Communication:
- Request a talk with the project manager.
- View message history and participate in chats.
- File Handling:
- Download uploaded files for a specific project.
Manager-Side Features
- Project Overview:
- View and filter all client projects.
- Access individual project details.
- Communication:
- Accept client talk requests and initiate chats.
- Task Assignment:
- Assign team members to tasks.
- Add task updates to projects.
- File Handling:
Upload completed deliverables for clients to download.
Platform-Wide Features
Notifications:
- Notify clients when managers accept a talk request or upload a file.
- Notify managers about client actions (e.g., talk requests).
Access Control:
- Role-based permissions to ensure only authorized users access features.
Prize
Winner’s Prize: 100,000 FCFA (200$)
The winner will be determined by the first working solution submission or by the April 15th 2025 deadline, whichever comes first.
